Alarm activation

Can anyone recommend a shop that will activate the factory alarm on a 2007 E90 335i w/ I-Drive for a reasonable price...ie around $100?

I called a couple dealers and frankly, they need to put the crack pipe down. $300 with tax is nuts. The alarm is only $265 for the parts!

Thanks,

Which dealer quoted you that much? The seattle dealer quoted me $150 for coding or $275 for install+coding a couple of months ago. It makes sense since they charge about $120 an hour for other regular work don't they? Since you only require coding, it should take them less than an hour I think.

Sorry for the late post. I just installed my own it only takes about 30 minutes and is really easy. Once you have it installed everything works except the chirp when locking and unlocking which I really didnt care about so I didnt pat to have it activated. A few months after i installed I took it into the dealer for scheduled serviced and mentioned to them that my alarm wasnt chirping when I activated and deactivated it and they reprogrammed it for free. I know it’s a bit shady but so is charging someone $400 for an install that only takes 30 minutes.

If you are thinking about doing the install yourself there is a good DIY on this forum and I assure you it is very straight forward.
