2004 530i Upgrades

1. Does anyone know of any way I can setup an iPod on my 2004 530i? (no FM transmitters)

2. My BMW Dealership reccmds I do an iDrive upgrade. Is this worth it? Will that give me the ability to listen to MP3 CD's?

1. Do you have an MP3 audio jack?

2. By iDrive upgrade, do they mean...do you have iDrive right now?

I dont have a mp3 jack and I do have the iDrive but the dealer recommended that I upgrade it (the software).

I want to hook up my iPhone to the car system but dont want to spend alot on it.

Is there any type of media connector eg USB?
Purely updating the software wouldn't allow iPhone connectivity unless bluetooth...I dont know much about bluetooth + audio for iphone
