• Nearly 75 pounds lighter than standard M3
• CS specific tuning for chassis, steering, engine, and transmission
• 6mm lower ride height

• Optional M Front Strut Brace for $1,100 USD
• No charge colors are Isle of Man Green and Black Sapphire Metallic.
  Individual Imola Red and Techno Violet Metallic available for $4,500 USD

Wow - this is a very lackluster “special” edition. Props to BMW though for making the car standard that most are doing via coding and tuning. Hard pass for me especially since it’s the same manual that plagues the current manual cars. Just not a manual I’d want to drive especially when you drive a ZF8 especially in CS guise where you can tell there’s a harmony to the car that way and as it was intended. I prefer a manual, if it’s good, and especially paired to an atmospheric engine but the ZF is designed for this car and it’s very evident when driving or owning them.

That’s because the manual trans is a pos that can’t hold shit for power and BMW didn’t wanna do anything to it to make it better. They spent all the dev time and money on bulletproofing the S58 that they just paired it with the ZF8 that was already good to go for the power they needed. On the manual, they just parts binned the bs manual from previous generations and called it a day. This model is lame and a waste of money.

As a CS model it's getting CF roof, hood, front splitter, air intakes, mirror caps, rear diffuser and spoiler. Inside it also gets the CF CS center console and trim, CF M bucket seats. In addition, it gets the titanium CS muffler.

Looks like I’ll be keeping my manual. I had high hopes for something great but makes it an easier decision for me.

This a hard pass for me. I would have at least hoped for an engine tune with more power but the same torque (similar to what they did for the 3.0 CSL). Apart from Imola Red, there’s nothing special about the colors either.

They could have at least thrown the 3.0 CSL tune on it. (560hp and 405tq)

That would have made it a much more attractive offering.

Years down the line, this is the one that people are gonna hunt for. This will be the G80 equivalent of a '13, slicktop, single-hump, cloth, Comp E92.
