2nd ECU to maintain the warranty ?
Hello,
I'm in Europe. I have an M3 Touring, and the car is under warranty until November 2027. However, I'd like to do a Stage 1 or 2 tune. To avoid voiding the warranty, I'm wondering if it's possible to buy a second used ECU and clone it to have two identical ECUs. If so, I'm also wondering if all the information would update automatically when I switch from one ECU to the other. For example, would the mileage update automatically, and would all the vehicle data be updated as well, so that the dealerships wouldn't notice? If you have any information or advice, please feel free to share it. 🙂 |

Doesn’t work like this. They can see and they know when you’ve tuned your car. There’s no way around it. Either void your warranty and have fun or don’t. This is the most reliable m car ever
