Can't decide between KW HAS and HR VTF
As the title says, I spent hours reading the forum.
I want some good amount of drop, car drives like a truck now. I'm comparing between the two systems and I can't decide tbh. Not fan of Eibach from prior experiences, and not familiar with AST. I know KW works with bmw on the oem suspension. HR drops lower (but Idc about the drop difference). I want the smoothest closest oem feeling without any added sounds, clanks or clicking sounds etc. Are both bouncy? I don't want to go coilover route because I won't track the car much if at all. Thanks for your help in advance. |

I vote H&R.
No real world experience, I just prefer them over K&W. Folks here love OEM & OEM+ parts so be prepared for that - though I'm sure you've surmised the same during your thread reading. The height-adjustable options don't make sense for me since I won't ever be adjusting the height once they are installed. Comparing published spring rates between the two would be helpful I think, but even then it can get murky trying to interpret that information. You're right that the ideal balance of firmness & compliance is key for a daily driver. Lowering in general can make the ride more stiff - increased spring rates & less travel, but that's where the magic of the aftermarket options come in. I've really never heard anything bad about H&R suspensions in regards to performance, but then again everyone here seems to love the KW HAS option - but maybe some of that is placebo. FWIW, I'm leaning towards H&R Sport springs 1.2" front & 0.4" rear lowering. I still need some suspension travel given the roads where I live. Sorry, not much help, just trying to share my thoughts.
