Who makes the loudest Carbon Fiber Intake?
Looking for what brand you recommended that has the loudest carbon fiber intake for the engine bay.
Would it be ARMASPEED without the covers? Thanks |

The MAD design has the most openings, it will sound the loudest
i would not buy a carbon fiber intake and remove the cover, that defeats the purpose of paying more for carbon fiber

I have a MAD intake and can confirm it’s easily audible in the cabin and the blow off sounds are loud, however I would say most of the sound profile is rushing air from the turbo pressure. I’m curious about the Eventuri as I’ve heard even though it’s not as loud as the MAD, the sound profile is more similar to an N/A engine induction noise, which I prefer (miss the CSL intake on my Z4M). Anyone have experience with both that can comment?

I dont understand what you mean by 'equally loud,' because not all intakes sound the same, even if they are all underhood or front-mount. Different filters, piping, and designs make different noises.

Agonizing on what to buy is a waste of time. For the OP any open filter under the hood will sound loud to him and any front mount will sound loudest to others. Yes a metal open intake will sound a little louder than a carbon. Is it a significant difference; no. My Infiniti intake is about same volume as my friends Venturi even though I have more fresh air ports than he does. Is mine a touch louder, yes.. Is it noticeable.. No. I revert back my suggestion.... buy what's pretty. It's not summer hot in Florida yet, but on the few hot days we've had im seeing no change in IAT from the open element mst to the Infiniti boxes. We'll see for sure in a couple months otherwise I wasted $1500 for a boring setup lol |
