..::PSI::.. - LSB G80 M3 Gets the #builtbypsi treatment with LSB Matched BBS RI-Ds
![]() Featured on BIMMERPOST.com ![]() When the team at Slicer Paddock reached out to collaborate on this G80 M3 build, we knew the end result would be something that stood out. ![]() ![]() From the factory, this car already gained a ton of attention. With its legendary Laguna Seca Blue paint paired with a the Tartufo interior, many would consider it to be a "gentleman spec." When it first arrived at the shop with fewer than a few hundred miles on the odometer, it turned heads even in its stock form as we awaited the arrival of the final parts. ![]() During this time, discussions about the wheel setup and wheel color came up. Following the standard Slicer Spec formula, we knew we were going to start with a set of aggressive BBS wheels—but that had been done before. To truly stand out, the idea of paint-matching the wheels to the Laguna Seca Blue exterior was proposed. After some back-and-forth and a few rough renders, we decided to make it a reality. This key detail, combined with a carefully curated selection of performance and aesthetic upgrades, transformed this G80 M3 into something truly unique: ![]() ![]() ![]() ✅ PSI G8X Midpipe Paired with the Akrapovic Rear Section ✅ PSI SP1 Dustless Brake Pads ✅ 20” BBS RI-D Wheels, Paint-Matched in Laguna Seca Blue ✅ Vorsteiner Carbon Front Lip with Gloss Black Grilles w/ Black M3 Badge ✅ AST Suspension ALS Kit ✅ IND Painted Reflectors and Painted Roundels ✅ Acexxon Rear Reflector Delete All together these parts culminated into a perfectly fine tuned daily driver that turns heads everywhere it goes! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Love everything about this build, except the color matching wheels are a bit much for me personally. But LSB is an amazing color on the G8X and rest of mods are well done. I would personally go with silver or bronze wheels.

I am with you. Not a fan of the wheels and I'd probably go with a different interior color... -- I just realized the interior color is NOT orange!

Can never go wrong with LSB. So wish it was available back when I was ordering my G80.
I do think the color matched wheels are a bit too much for me personally but congrats on the overall sweet build! ![]()

Agree,...wheels are suppose to make a build "Pop",...note look like a "Lollipop"!

I was teetering between LSB and SAN Marino. Beautiful colour going on here.
The color matched wheels probably come with an extra vape pen but I’m probably just getting old. Silver or gunmetal wheels = perfect. But it ain’t our money lol |

First of all - Thank you to PSI for the help on this project! Some of you may know that I'm located in WI where winters here are brutal. I bought the car at Coggin BMW Treasure Cove Fort Pierce, FL (Yousef is the man for individual builds!) and decided to leave it in FL for the winter. My next call was to Sean at PSI. Sean and I met about 5 years ago when we were both involved in a BMW CCA M2 giveaway car (along with Turn14). It was great to finally work together on this project!

I definitely knew the color matched wheels would get mixed reviews but we just had to do it. I personally love it. In a sea of silver, gold, gray and black, the color matched wheels definitely are a refreshing change to my eyes. I'm noticing a trend towards brushed finishes and I have to say I think they really cheapen the look of these great wheels. Paint all day every day for me. That being said, I will be swapping various BBS wheel models onto the car (LM-R, LM, FIR-EVO, E88). Silver and gold (paint) will certainly be coming as part of that. The last thing I will say is that I have been on this forum since 2009. I can't believe it's been that long; damn 16 years. I would estimate that I have put no less than 100 sets of silver, gold, black, and gray wheels on my cars. It's about time I did something different! Quote:

![]() I have spent years mastering wheel fitment and the term "Slicer Spec" arose as a result. For the record, I did not coin the phrase; it was started by some friends and customers. It basically means wheels that fit properly. Generally that term centered around my tailoring of BBS E88 wheels to fit people's cars perfectly given their suspension, brakes, alignment settings and desired tires / sizes. The BBS RID's featured here are not available in custom specs so I was not able to have them made to my perfect offset like I would with a set of BBS E88's. The RID's are 20x10.5 et15 square (4 rears) with 285/30/20. I am running 5mm front and 10mm rear spacers. This wheel uses PFS rings which allow me to use BBS spacers which have integral hub extensions that insert into the wheels even with the 5mm spacers. They are are fantastic solution.

I like it. I wouldn't have done it personally, but that's what makes our builds unique. I'd have color matched the calipers and the rest of the car, maybe a portion of that gloss black grill and done a nice silver on the wheels ala e46 m3.
slicer beautiful car brother, but I'm bias ![]() Thanks in advance
