Build Journal: Irish Green LCI G80 M3 6MT + Tartufo Carbon Bucket Seats
![]() Featured on BIMMERPOST.com After waiting 5 months I finally took delivery of my Individual Irish Green G80 M3 with Tartufo carbon seats! This is my dream spec and I'm grateful for my CA getting this build approved without any issues. I would like to use this thread to share my ownership thoughts and document any current or future modifications. Some background info: I'm a long time car enthusiast, I started with various Honda Civics in high school. Then, once I graduated it was Subaru WRXs and STIs for awhile. Once I started to make enough money and I could allocate some extra funds for this (expensive) hobby I purchased my first german car - a 2006 E46 M3 ZCP 6-speed in Interlagos Blue. After 3 years of ownership I ended up selling it to pursue an E92 M3 that I still currently own. Alongside my E92 I was fortunate enough to own and experience a FL5 CTR, 718 GT4, and 991.2 Carrera T. So how did I end up here? A couple of my close friends spec'd and purchased their G80 M3's shortly after its release. At first I had no interest in the car due to the polarizing redesign and increased size. However, over time I've seen first hand the exterior and performance improvements that they made and my perspective about the G8X platform changed. After spending some seat time in my friend's manual G80 M3 and giving it some serious thought, I decided to contact my local dealer, BMW of Raleigh. I submitted my order August 2024, the car went into production the first week of December 2024 and was delivered January 25th, 2025. Build sheet:

Thanks! and yes, the chrome exhaust tips and the exterior paint matched pieces were a must imo Quote:

Speaking of PPF - I decided to go with full coverage on the M3. Luckily my detailer was only a 5 minute drive from the dealership. While he wraps up a couple of other jobs, I took this opportunity to get my car dissembled for the first round of modifications:
I also removed all of the factory gloss black lower body trim pieces to be paint matched. In my opinion, this mod is a must and it improves the overall exterior look tremendously. At this point it was late so we decided to call it quits, the following day I dropped the parts off for paint. Currently this is where I'm at with the car. I'll provide an update once the trim pieces are back and installed along with the other exterior accessories. |

Great pics and awesome spec. Very classy. Seems like quite a few of us with e9x and g80 combos on here.

Looks fantastic. I would have ordered Irish green if I wouldn’t have found LSB with Tartufo at my dealer. Irish is such a classy color. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Great spec. Agree on the painting the lower gloss black trim, but why would you do a gloss black grill then? Kinda strange IMHO.
