MY25 Individual Color Deadline

Hi Guys,

I'm interested in an individual color MY25 G80. I'm wondering if there is a deadline to place an individual color, as one dealership I've reached out has already stated individual colors for 25 are no longer accepted?

So, G80 is also done with individual paints? Interesting. Seems a bit too early. Probably because February allocations are all sold.

Yeah, my dealership said the same thing last week, that G80 individual paints were done for MY25 and I'd have to wait for MY26. But then, they magically found me a Feb allocation

Weird, because calbears said in the other post that cutoff was probably in April: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=16

(April sounds more like it, 3 months before July)

I had a build in 112 and was unable to change it to a frozen white without it pushing it to MY26. At first I thought my SA made a mistake but now that I see this post it sounds like maybe they are no longer accepting semi or full individual for MY25?

is that for g80 or g82? I think historically the cutover for G82 is earlier than G80, so for G82 this makes sense but less so for G80

You said this was for the G80. The issue with the paint is that it would push the production week out of the allocation month. All your CA had to do was email their regional person and request pushing the production to the right to accommodate the paint. Otherwise, in the ordering system it will produce an error with the earliest possible production week out of the allocation month. For example, a February build with frozen brilliant white might push the production to March, resulting in an error.

Out of curiosity if they knew how to do it why would a CA not make that change happen?

It’s frustrating because I was going back and forth on the colors for a week and a finally picked exactly what I wanted and he’s like “sorry we would need a new allocation” even though its still 112 but then the next day flips to 150 with no way to correct it.

Perhaps they don't know. So getting the error that the order isn't possible should prompt them to reach out to get the production week pushed out.

That said, if the request isn't done quickly and then answered quickly, it's possible it flips to 150 and then they'd need another allocation.
