Picture of Shipping Blocks Still in Wheel Well?

Anyone have pictures of what the shipping blocks actually look like? I've seen a lot of threads where people theorize a car has them still in because it looks higher than usual, but curious what they actually look like (if I had to point it out to my CA, for example).

Greetings,

I don't think "theorize" is the correct word. It's a reality. I drove my car for a couple of months and thought...HOW do I get rid of this car. Then, this great forum of excellent advice pointed out the problem. I took the car to the dealer and fifteen minutes later...the service manager handed me four suspension blocks...I drove home in a brand new car. Yes, I was upset. Now, I love driving my car.

Wow.. I saw your original post about them. Honestly such a shame and I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Glad everything is sorted now!

And big thank you for the pic - I'm not convinced my dealer is the ~best~ so will be keeping my eyes out when I go pick up my car in 2 weeks.

A couple of months?! Damn, I didn’t think it was that long when you started that thread. Hey, that said, they took out more than just those 4, correct? As the other guy in your thread wrote, there’s 2 blue per side in the back and then usually white ones in the front, just like in the pics linked in the post above.

You are quite welcome - congrats on your new car. You will enjoy driving it. Say hello to my brother who lives in Leesburg (jk). Our family lived in VA (Ft's Belvoir and Eustis) back in the late 50's, early 60's. Much has changed. All the best.

Sorry to hear this. Where did you take delivery of your vehicle? Was it the same dealer?

I bought a Focus RS in late 2017 and noticed the issue on the 30 mile drive home. Grabbed a floor jack and found the shipping blocks. Yes, shipping block removal was on the PDI checklist and was check off for being complete…

Greetings,

Indeed...they said BMW only installs them in M models.

I was grateful the car now drives like a car...no remorse.

Swank,

Just the four...I can't imagine there are more...my car rides like it should and the three suspension systems are now noticeable. Whew...can't tell you how happy I am...it's a great car.

I’m requesting the shipping pucks go in the glove box so we all know it’s done
