That mint color is quite distinctive. It will absolutely catch attention! While I prefer the much darker hues, I can see the eye candy appeal for something like this.

waiting for my ppf booking in a couple weeks before I can head out and do a proper b road run

I’ve got the eventuri, full Akra, hjs catted dp’s and some other bits too install

I also have an alpha n hood but might wait to install that a bit later

What I have noticed, the car defaults to exhsust valve button on, not sure I’ve heard that mentioned before. I must be getting old because id prefer to default valves closed on start up

I’ve got the bimmercode and BimmerLink so will see what’s available for lci to code

Akra and hjs catted dp combo sounds good to me, Alfa busso v6 vibes

The trick, just like the s55, is not to go catless

Or you can play it a bit more subtle and leave the stock midpipe. I’ll start here and try diff combo’s

Christmas holidays project, full alpha one stereo upgrade

I’m finding the HK really mediocre, the HK in my old f80 comp was punchier and crisper. There is hardly any bass coming from the under seat woofers and the whole system just sounds muddy

Not looking for anything ott, just a premium sounding oe+ setup

Mint looks fine to me. Not my deal, but I get it.
Now the front springs - I mean, you can fit your head between the tire and wheel well to check your treadwear

Yeh I’ve had a few M3’s now and they all have the wheel gap issue on front

But I’m too old to hard park or ruin the ride - in fact having lived through an f80 comp ownership with arguably worst ride of any sports sedan ever built, the ride in g81 has been a revelation, and I don’t want to make it any harsher

I haven’t noticed a ride quality difference from a front lowering spring swap.

you might not, it’s subjective, but I would as I’m very fussy with ride quality, and our local gov has no money to repair our deteriorating roads - any time you take travel out of a stock shock you are reducing ride comfort by some degree

I had tractive coilovers on my f80, and just noticed tractive released their kit for g8x, with a front lift

If anything I’d consider another set of those, but atm just don’t think they’re necessary

In fact having spent a few weeks now with the car, I’m getting a more grown up m5-like vibe from the g81, so my build plans have changed. I sold my alpha n bonnet and most likely won’t fit the eventuri either - I’ll just sort the exhaust sound as I want to turn ASD off and give engine a bit of the character/theatre it’s lacking
