G82 M4 Isle of Man Green, 2024, Manual - Introducing My Build

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
My car was delivered in June, and I finally hit the 2,000 km mark before winter a couple of weeks ago—so the break-in period is officially over! Now it’s time to start focusing on getting some more power into it. Most of the "styling" work is done (except for the rims, which are just placeholders until the new ones are ready). Over the winter, I'll be shifting gears to performance upgrades. The stock power and sound have been a bit disappointing for me, to be honest. Especially vs my Stage 3 Golf 7R. And unfortunately, legally, there is no way to get this thing loud.

The entire build so far was done at DÄhler Tuning in Switzerland. Here’s the setup for Leg 1:

Dinan Carbon Intake
Carbon Engine Cover
Exhaust System: DÄhler
Downpipes: 200 Cell, HJS
Strut Brace: Kies
Flap Control: ASR
Chassis: KW V3
Rims: Wheelforce CF.3-FF R
Carbon Front Grill: GT Style
Carbon Engine Compartment Cover (Front)
Carbon ECU Cover
Front Lip: DÄhler
Fuel Filler Cap: M Performance
Carbon Side Details: Internet
Seats, Carbon Side Covers: Internet
CSL-Style Bootlid with visible Carbon Fibre line: Karbonius
Front Carbon Foam Cover: Internet
Full-Body Protection Film

My biggest issue with the stock setup is the turbos—they feel too big. The spool is just too late, and overall response isn’t what I’d hoped for. I’m considering either LM900 turbos or switching to the Alpina setup. If anyone here has experience with other turbo options, I’d love to hear your thoughts. My goal isn’t just raw power (though I’m aiming for ~700 PS) but especially improved turbo response.

Looking forward to sharing updates and hearing your feedback.

Have a good one

How are you dealing with MFK stuff? I doubt all those parts are homologated?

Interesting! Who sells Dinan parts in Switzerland? It used to be forbidden fruit so long.

Wow. Nicely done. I have a G80 6MT on the way. Same colors. I checked every option and added suspension. Will arrive in January. Interested in the rest of the photos if you’re able to load. I was just in Zurich a few weeks ago for work. Cool city and country.

Probably one of the first g82’s for 2025. Production on those began 3/2024.

Car looks good! Not seen that lip before I think it works well.

My 2025 I picked up the tuning is absolutely amazing very responsive very smooth maybe because you’ve added all that aftermarket stuff you’ve kinda destroyed the BMW tune.

I found over many many many years of modification that if you do too many modifications all at once that you don’t get a chance to find that right ballot because you’ve thrown too many things at the car all at once

The LCI headlight design was the right move.
LEDs flow more with the face of the car.
