Tire recomendation

Hey everyone, I have a 22 RWD M3 on flex fuel. I'm looking for the best tire in a 305/30-20. LMK. Thanks.

The size is irrelevant as we need to know your intended use case is.

Are you looking for something that will work in all seasons? Summer tyre? Higher performance and stickier? Track days? Track day capable but still usable on the street? Are you tuned? Are you xDrive or RWD?

Greetings,

AhsanU makes a good point - intentions. However, I personally like Michelin...especially the PS4's. And, they also have a track tire and all season tire.

I live in Arizona, which has warm weather year-round. I will be using the car on the street only, with no track time. The car is femto unlocked, tuned for flex fuel and is rear-wheel drive only. I need something with good traction that is still decent around turns.

People may not agree with me but P Zeros are really good when warm vs even Michelin 4S for street use. If tire temp is 100+ they stick hard in my opinion. Either tire works tbh. Im tuned too rwd

Depending on if this is your only car or not, you can go pretty extreme to ensure traction. It also does depend on how much power you're putting down.

If you're above 800whp, you'll want to get Nitto NT555 r2's or MT Street S/S. These are your best bet to actually hook, but they're not exactly dailyable and things get sketch at lower temps and/or inclement weather. You won't get many miles out of them but such is the price of grip.

Up to around 700whp is where I'd say Goodyear's Eagle F1 Supercar 3's are pretty damned good. I personally went through a set (11k miles) tuned and traction was almost never an issue (around 600whp). They heated up pretty quickly and added heft to the steering feel on top of superior grip. They are rated for 220tw so expect them to last accordingly. They're priced very handsomely and I would easily recommend them to any enthusiast looking for a tyre upgrade.

You can honestly look into any of the 200tw tyres and see which one fits the ticket best for you as they all provide better grip than the MPS4S/Pirelli/Yokohama's that come with the car.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys. I wound up going with the Cup 2's. We will see. I need to get it in for an alignment as well to try and get as much as I can on the ground. We are thinking the car makes around 750 to the wheels.
