Ooh, the mis match on the carbon and the gloss black with some colors really does stand out! (I bet there’s some amazing OEM+ or even generic that can sort that out though)

Man, that is one ugly vehicle. And the thick wheel he complains about is the nicest part of the car.

Bring back the old M4.

Why would you ever want to go back to a car that rides like poop and can't put power down?

Go chat some where else, I think mine in BSM is the prettiest car I've ever owned. Car is a complete beast, I can't take my eyes off it. Why comment here with your nonsense when everyone here most likely has a G80/G82. Honestly I tried to get this color but with markups and $4,500 extra it didn't make sense. BUT this spec is 100% gorgeous, perfection.

There’s desolate stretches of arrow-straight highway in Nevada you could get away with it.

Or be like me and use the Lake Shore Drive entrance ramp by Mccormick Place in Chicago.

I really like Max's reviews! Detailed and a lot of talking but not much hyperbole or over the top comments.

Couldn’t disagree more. The F-gen 3/4 it was based on was a turd and universally panned for how it felt behind the wheel. Critically the M did not fare much better iirc, constantly getting beat by the Alfa and C63. My own memory after driving one — “I’d rather have the M6,” and never considered one again. I definitely remember hearing people say “oh, the Comp fixed it.” Fixed what exactly?

I understand the styling of the new car is polarizing. Fair enough if somebody hates how it looks, I’ve no issue with that. From behind the wheel though it’s such a massive step forward. The old one couldn’t outrun a Model 3 (on a road course!) in a TG clip I saw. Even if I hated the styling of the g8x I’m happy leaving those days in the past.

The G chassis fixed all the stupidly with the old chassis and the S58 fixed all the stupidity of the old engines… and I mean ALL. The new engines out of the box are what the old engines wanted to be AFTER you modded them and fixed some of their weaknesses. Lol

Just watched and echo Max's review about the dynamics and how its that much more engaging than even the amazing X Drive car. I have the M3 CS (same shit) and the LCI X Drive M4; they definitely do not drive the same even with the CS coding on the M4. The CS coding does though, narrow the gap for sure. Its harder to discern if I dont drive them both back to back on the same roads but the CS is really amazing. Its a crap shoot for most and I get it as the price point can be a pain point for most.

I really dont notice the carbon vs the black gloss all too much on the lower valences but its not on my mind or my line of sight but I see his point. I like my spongie wheel- feels just right. Also not sure why he said the strut brace is an add; maybe a Euro thing as its not a cost add here in the US.

M3 and M4 have equal width with the latter being over 1.5" lower in height.

Having owned both the OG F82 and the comp, there is no getting away from the huge improvements the Gxx platform has provided.
Yes, I miss the looks and the edgy Fxx handling (it always had me focussed)
However, in the real world it made little sense. Here, in Scotland, it put the power down 5% of the year.
The G82 CX I have puts it down 95% of the time.
If I want to go back in time, I’ll select 2WD.
Love the presence of the new car, it’s nothing like the F series, and I’m fine with that.
