IRL Midpipes anyone?

For those you have IRL midpipes, would love to hear your take on it. Do you like them. Anything you would change or do differently. Was there any drone or rasp. Is it manageable if you close the valve and drive in comfort mode. I do have the valve controller and stock exhaust. My only mod would be the mid pipe. Looking for some decent sound with start up and when driving in the city limits that I can turn off when driving on the freeways so as to not hurt my ears. Ive driven with my valves open on the freeway and they seem to drone a bit on the freeway in the D2 and D3 modes and wondering if the midpipe might make it worse. I can tolerate it on short city drives as long as I have the ability to turn it off with the valve controlled. Was debating about he MAD mid pipes but wanted to compare the IRL's too. Thanks

I have their non-res midpipe and absolutely love it paired with their valve controller (stock dps and axleback). Also, it's very quiet with valves closed if you're worried about noise (easy config to Homelink buttons as well). The build quality/design is top-notch and I have no complaints about drone.

Can't beat IRL for the price/quality!

Yeah but I cancelled it after the way they have been doing business with X-PH. Seems like both MAD and X-PH seems to be tied together at the hip and I dont want to spend my money if thats the case. I might just go with someone else.

To answer your question, both midpipes will sound identical because both designs are roughly the same. However, we offer a lower price and include a lifetime warranty.

I'm not sure what the issue is with us aside from the fact that we're currently out of stock on a part, and the estimated delivery time has been pushed back—Which we apologize for. We work with over 100 dealers, and a quick Google search could have led you to any of them for your purchase.

Personally, I spend hours every day answering questions and helping customers on the forums. If you'd prefer to buy from a company that doesn't offer that level of support or involvement in the community, that's your choice, and we respect that.

Thanks. I think giving a simple apology instead of blaming the customer might go a long way in retaining people. I appreciate the active support on this forum but there is an innate bias becoz you are after all trying to sell your product here. I just realized that other than AA and MAD there isnt any info or reviews on midpipes of other companies in this forum. I think diversity is good and if their products are equally good, maybe its worth to try them out even if price is a little more. I did order with them and their price was only $50 more after their discount code and I can say their customer service is top notch and they appreciate my business. I’ll post some pics and videos once i install them.

Damn, Andrew. That's crazy to be bashing another company like that when you don't even know them or their products.

Alfred, just to let you know, I have driven two vehicles that have IRL exhausts on them. One of them has a modular full exhaust, while the other has just the midpipe. Both sound absolutely phenomenal. The one with the modular exhaust was running upgraded Ladermanfaktur LM900+ hybrid turbos, and you could hear the turbo spool very well through the exhaust. I was shook by how well it sounded. The owner, Magic, is extremely responsive through email and DM on Instagram. I'm currently sponsored by another exhaust company, but if that wasn't the case, I would definitely go with IRL in a heartbeat. The before and after customers sales support is great. He will ask you what your plans are with the car, and help cater the exhaust system to your liking.

I have the midpipe and can. No drone, and tips align perfect! Loud as expected with valves open; valves closed is louder than oem but doesn’t rattle my house. One of the handful of mods across my cars is do again with zero hesitation.

I saw a video that they are working on a 400 CEL catted DP. It had a full IRL setup. Sounded pretty good!

We can vouch for IRL as we run their full exhaust on our shop car. The sound is absolutely phenomenal. And it sounded amazing even before the single turbo.

Regarding their customer service. Don’t let any comments above confuse you. Their service is second to none. Us, as well as many of our customers we refer to them have nothing but positive things to say. They are very responsive and customers and are known to handle anything in a timely manner.

We did also experience great service from MAD in the past as well.

Good luck on your choice op!

Just to clarify, I never mentioned their customer service or "bashed". I was simply highlighting our involvement on the forums as a positive example of what we bring to the table. My comment applies to any company that doesn't engage with the community on public forums or maintain vendor status.

I have an IRL single mid (resonated), with an IRL valve controller on a stock axel back. Saying I love this setup would be an understatement. No issues what so ever.

They are local to me. Not sure about their website. I’d message them via their website. I think I remember there. Wing options for both.

IRL and Ni Had are top notch. He will not sell you anything he doesn’t feel you’ll be 💯 happy with. I got hacked on IG and he was the first person to step in call me and help and I have never met him personally.

I've read nothing but good things about IRL. The owner reached out to me and answer my questions and as said didnt try and upsell me at all.

for now I have my valves wired shut and the actuators spaced out. Next year I will add the IRL midpipe (just have to decide resonated or non-resonated) and I will add the actuator controllers. That will be it for my exhaust mods until I tune the car.

You’re not here doing community service. Every question you answer is publicity. Only so one day you can hold that over another company. The owner of that company does the same in other venues without mentioning his product or posting under the business name.
