Aim solo 2 dl: Can?

Hey everyone.
I am tracking a lot in the M4 and have been using the Catalyst for data and tracking laps. I love it and will continue to use it, but I want to get an AIM solo 2 DL to monitor maximum data. Should I get the one with the OBD cable or the CAN bus connector?

Tapping into the CAN bus will provide a lot more information. If you actually use it, that's the way to go.

I m in the same situation. I have the Garmin Catalyst and it is amazing. Just set and go. But I have also added RaceChrono Pro with OBDlink MX+, a Racebox as gps, and a GoPro (to get internal footage). I ve got the M Drive Analyzer, hoping it would provide me more data. It does, but not the brake position I was hoping. So I think my next step would be to get a canbus logger. I m just wondering if I should use one of the data loggers tuners use. These seem to have a lot of data, but I don't know if they require an unlocked ECU, or if they require a laptop in the car.
Btw, I m a Data Scientist and work with data for 30 years. Analysing the graphs and numbers for days after the track day is part of the fun.
