I posted pics a year ago of my G82 and 2005 Silver-Grey M3 (and F32 440i). Last September, however, I found a one-owner 2005 M3, Imola Red over black leather with aluminum trim. Red being my favorite color, I had to buy it. It had only 16,804 miles when I took delivery. The original owner informed me it had only seen rain twice. He kept everything that came with the car at delivery - both window stickers, a VHS tape about the 3 Series, a demo CD for the h/k system, etc. It's in mint condition. I put IND reflector inserts on it, but that's all I'm doing. I sold the Silver-Grey M3 this spring and recently took these pics of all three cars together.

Love it. About to put an order in for an Imola G80. When I bought my E39 I looked an an Imola example but it was far too nice for me at the time, I always felt like I missed out..

Thanks for your post and photos. I don't think I've ever seen Imola Red and Rosso Corsa side-by-side like this. As pretty as Rosso Corsa is, I personally would have to give the nod to Imola. Beautiful!

Did you find the Imola Red E46 M3 at EAG (Enthusiast Auto Group)... ?

No, it was at BMW Minnetonka (Minneapolis area). The original owner had traded it back into the same dealership he ordered and bought it from in 2005. While taking delivery, I actually spoke to the original salesman who sold the car to him. I told the salesman about my extensive BMW ownership history and that I was going to be taking good care of the car, no modding, tracking, etc. The salesman, in turn, told the original owner this. The salesman then got the original owner in touch with me and we talked for quite a while last September, which was cool. I know the car's entire history.

I actually raced in Imola, probably the best track in Italy with Mugello .

Yes, the original owner was very cool. He even sent me a couple spare CD changer magazines this spring when I discovered the one he included with the car last year was the wrong type. So cool to know the entire provenance of the car from purchase history to why there is a tiny stone chip on the lip spoiler (rouge stone flew over the car early in his ownership).
