V1 Grill...1 piece, 2 piece, or does it matter?

I'm looking to get a V1 grill from NWCarbonhaus, and I noticed it's a 2-piece. And I've seen 1-piece out there also. Just wondering if there's a benefit to one versus the other.

I hate my 2-piece so much that I am going out of my way to order a new 1-piece one. Quality is great tho.

2-piece was a PITA to line up correctly and after about 8k miles it started to have a bit misalignment to it.

Ok...well that's good enough for me

1-piece it is! Thanks.

1 piece usually takes less effort to confirm if fits as using the factory slots.
For 2 piece, it’s like a cost cutting approach to me

I went with the V3 (two piece) mostly because I wanted the second horizontal slot on the bottom of the grill. I have no issues with mine.

I would have liked the lower bar, but I have ACC, and I think the V1 looks better with the ACC box (too bad though).

Yeah I agree. Hope you enjoy it! I have a few of their parts and I'm a big fan.

I have the V3s from NWCarbon and the quality is awesome. However, fitment is okay. Being a 2-piece, it takes alot to get them to fit right. If I had a choice to do it all over again, I'd probably go 1-piece which is probably what I'll do one day

I've had the 2 pieces Vorsteiner grille and fitment wasn't good at all... I switched to one piece V2 grille from Autotecknik and fitment is great and the look I was searching from day 1.

Thanks for the assistance...I went with the 1-piece to ensure it's as nice as it can be.

Do yourself a favor and get the oem csl grill. I’ve yet to see a great fitting kit. The ones that are perfect having 20 hours into modifying and test fitting.

Awesome! Looks great! I plan on getting this as I heard the 2 piece is a pain.

What are your thoughts on quality and fitment? Did you get it directly from AutoTecknic or a 3rd party? Looks cheaper from them directly on their website but not sure if they are overseas…

It's not really, you just have to use screws to hold it in place, double sided tape also works but good luck taking it off.
But 1 piece is definitely easier to install.

Some early 2 piece grills don't have those tabs so you gotta drill into the sides, problem is when you want to put the stock grill back you'll see the holes.

I was one of the first back in the day when the CF grills were just a prototype. Started with 2 pieces and finished with 1 piece later. Never looking back. 1 piece is the way to go.
