Exclamation Anyone with Active Autowerke or Valvetronic Equal Length Midpipe?

Curious to hear both of these in person before pulling the trigger on one for my own G80. If you have one and are decently close to Richmond, I'd be interested in meeting up to hear it at a meet or however would make sense.

Also interested in hearing your opinion and experiences with each, even if I never hear your car in person.

For context, I'd just be looking at the midpipe and a valve controller and leaving everything else stock for now.

Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! How do you like it? Do you have a valve controller or any other exhaust or performance mods?

i personally really like the valvetronic midpipe. it sounds very similar to the active single in the low to mid rpms, and sounds smoother and a little higher pitched in the upper rev range.

I'm in Southern Maryland so probably can't help with anything in person. I have the Valvetronic midpipe. I like it. Fitment was good and it definitely improved the sound. If you're patient, you can snag them for pretty cheap.

Went with Valvetronic EQ midpipe and love it! My main reference video was the one from CarGuy302 on YouTube (can’t remember his username here) - I concluded that the Valvetronic sounds bassier and the AA sounds more wild/unhinged if you’re going for that sound, but maybe a bit higher pitched, and he agreed.

I think one piece of feedback I heard also was that if you go AA you may want to plan to do downpipes/catback because you will want that bassier note somehow

Ah thanks for the info. Thinking of going catback right off the bat anyways. Prob no downpipe any time soon as I’d like to retain my warranty haha.
