Did they do away with the honeycomb inlets? Doesn’t appear this car has the carbon fiber exterior option.

It does have the carbon exterior pack, it's just the photos don't show it particularly well.

Really want to see a base car without the exterior CF package to see if it has honeycomb.

The Germany and UK website seem to have the honeycomb in the spec configuration until you add the CF package. Wish they would just make the inserts gloss black instead of honeycomb because that’s the only reason I spec’d it for mine.

I bought gloss black inserts that are the same style as the carbon ones. less than $150 shipped. Haven't installed yet but another user has and they look good!

Definitely a lot cheaper than getting the whole carbon pack!

Better view of the headlights but consensus remains the same.
They make the front look sharper for sure but the lasers are so beautiful that this just doesn’t feel like a true upgrade.

But from the cheaper version of the headlights on PRE-LCI , these are definitely a step up.

I'll reserve final judgment until I see the new headlights in person but in the pictures above, they do look a bit odd. Tiny little projector lost in a housing that's way too large for it.

I am sure the honeycomb is still there. Thought I had seen spy shots somewhere showing them.

I think BMW missed an opportunity to make this car look a bit more fresh. They made some subtle changes to the G22 grille and some additional changes to the G8X would have been welcome. I think the styling has gotten a little long in the tooth and the LCI should have been more than tweaks to the head and tail lights.

The inner “projector” has been a fake decorative piece in a lot of BMWs for years.

I believe any front or rear fascia change requires crash testing recertification? If so that means big $$$ and given the cost cutting crusade BMW is on I doubt the bean counters let them.

Also I wish someone turned on the lights and stepped on the brakes for the photos.

Anyone else notice that the black “M4” badge on Competition models now has a white/silver border around it? I rather like it, assuming the M3 LCI comes like this I light update the badge on my car.

Black badge kinda gets lost on a black or dark car, which I assume is the motivation for the change.
