Theft: Stripped '24 M3 from NJ found in Cali
I don’t know any details of how this happened. My brother was out walking while on vacation in Studio city California and came across a stripped M3. He sent me pictures (including the vin and the paper NJ tag) and I sent the pictures to a manager at my local central Florida dealer (he said he would pass it up the line). Thieves suck!

May be worth posting this in the ny/nj regional forum. There’s been thefts in the tri state area lately and someone may recognize this. Hard to say but I believe a member had his white g80 stolen out of a Hoboken garage recently.

Damn, this really sucks for somebody, for sure. I have to say tho, I'm fascinated by what parts they chose not to take. Like why didn't they take the steering rack and the wheels/tires? Thousands of dollars there... And lemme get the little plastic cover for the 12v cig lighter port.

Wow, just speechless as I’m in shock how the car was just Mr Clean 🧼 striped bare and left on the street. Suprised it’s not on blocks. Should be at least a print to lift and run. Hopefully it’s not a forum member, as this is painful.

Not one once of fluid on the ground. How do you remove an engine without dropping anything on the ground?
This is all over social medias. Are we sure it's not just a car that was parked on the street by a shop on the street? Weird! |

Those wheels are worth $$$ for a lease turn in and the rims could be refinished for $125-$150 each based on damage.

Really strange that they left the steering wheel. Airbags and steering wheels have been a theft target for a long time.
