G42 coupe is quite different from the new generation 1 Series F40 and the 2 Series F44 in terms of chassis and layout.
The specs are more in the same ballpark with a 3 Series G20 or a 4 Series G22, which means that some M Performance upgrades such as brakes and wheels are compatible between these models.
The 795M forged set I put on the ride in the photos is a 20" Y-Spoke matte black paired with Pirelli P Zero Runflat tires.
Forged wheels will go a long way (heh) in changing the car's performance, not just optics. You get lighter material for the same strength, and wider display for your brakes in the same bundle of benefits.
