Cutting the roof off our G81 M3 Touring

In this video we do what BMW should have from the factory - Give the M3 Touring a full carbon fiber roof!

We take our G81 M3 Touring, give it to Quattro Coachworks who then painstakingly strip the car to the shell and cut out the original steel roof panel ready for the Alpha N Performance full carbo fiber replacement roof panel.

To go along with this we also fit the Alpha N Performance full carbon fiber bonnet to finish off the look.

This was some serious work to complete, but we absolutely love the end result and truly think this is what BMW should have done all along.

Thank you for not going full naked carbon hood. Not a fan even though Porsche does give it credence by making part of the Weissach package on their cars. Not my cuppa.

I love that hood. I personally think the extractors are a little deeper than I would care for, but as Imran said they add a lot of aggression. I'd like a little less aggression but I love the fact that they are better located on the hood visually and also are functional. I hate the fact that so much on the G8X styling wise is just not functional. This hood is super sharp. Not sure I'd ever pony up the $$ for it but man it looks good.

Yeah, thats a big project. The last time I saw someone do that, was HondaProJason, take his brand new Civic Type R, and give it to the body shop for a full Phoenix Yellow repaint, and carbon roof addition. One of a kind, for sure. Unfortunately, a few years later, they released the LE, which was also Phoenix Yellow, luckily, they only made 600 for the whole planet.

Omg.
When I saw that you replaced the whole roof of the car….my heart just sunk. This was so amazing to watch! What an awesome 1 of 1 unique car.

That hood also looks so good. These guys did an awesome job!
