Half Mile racing our 1025HP G82 M4

With the initial Stage 3 build complete and dyno tested it was time to shakedown the car properly and start refining the setup. With 1000HP+ there is only really one safe place to do this, and that's on an airstrip.

We headed over to Germany and the Race 1000 event to give us a chance to properly put the car to the test, and race against some of Europe's fastest cars around!

This allows us to properly measure the vehicles current performance against other vehicles in the same environment.

With the weekend successfully completed and the car driving the 1000km home its now time to push things even further with all the data we have gained from this event!

Heard 256km? Maybe I didn’t watch the whole video? That’s ok.. he should be doing way better . I ran a 171 on stock turbos stock trans

You only watched day 1! Which was roll racing, day 2 was standing half mile.

This was our first shakedown, and to be 2kph behind another German tuner running a very similar setup we’re really happy. A Stage 2 car from another tuner was doing about 20kph slower which sounds about right to us.

We’re bringing you our development as it happens, and there’s much more in this setup to come.

You can see from the end dragy sheet that conditions were not good for any sort of record runs, poor grip on the surface was hurting our 60ft times. We’ll be posting more representative data in good time once we dial things in a little more.

It’s great you’re bringing us along the journey with the car. People don’t realize how much work goes into building a fast, reliable. 1K hp setup. Looking forward to watching your progress.

175 but who cares, the exhaust sounds horrible, the build quality is 2008 GM equivalent, and has the curb weight of a rhinoceros.

Yeh . Seen it too . Not impressed really . Car seems hesitating moving off. Sound not great too. But ! this is only an competition car for draggy times . For that reason , I think Imran has done an excellent job . Great for us to follow BMW content . Couldn't drive that power daily though 😕.

Likely over 180 MPH if unlocked. The Tesla Model S Plaid is currently limited to a top speed of around ~175 MPH. Tesla has discussed the possibility of increasing the top speed to 200 MPH with the purchase of a 'track package,' but I haven't found any 1/2 mile runs with the unlocked top speed. Judging by a 1/4 mile performance of 9.3 seconds and a speed of 153 MPH, it should achieve speeds over 180 MPH.

181.16 MPH. but judging by 1/4 mile (153 MPH typically) should be +2/3 MPH on a better surface.

According to the responses, it actually closer to 180 mph which is remarkable for such a heavy ass family sedan that gets over 80mpge.

Good run at 180mph but still need to gain if it wants to catch the DAZA RS3s at 1/2 miles. Maybe some weight savings?
