Evolve Stage 2+ Package - 9.9s 1/4 Mile on Pump Fuel + Stock Turbo

We've been working hard on this setup the last few months, dialling everything in and now we're happy to share our progress!



We wanted to keep this as simple and daily driver friendly as possible. This meant no ethanol mixing, no methanol injection, full interior, no drag tyres. Most importantly the drivability could not be sacrificed, it needed to drive day to day perfectly, but when needed you can put your foot down and unleash the full power of the S58 engine.

Bolt on wise it's just 2 (or 3 for OPF cars that need a midpipe) parts, the Evolve Catless Downpipes and the Eventuri Intake System with Turbo Inlets. We were consistently low 10s with the standard intake system (no charcoal filters for EU models), the addition of the Eventuri Intake let us consistently hit the magic 9.9s 1/4 mile times thanks to the reduced WGDC meaning we could push the standard turbo a little further.

Software it's our custom ECU tuning, setup to the specific ambient environment and fuel. We pair this with XHP transmission software to optimise the launch and gear changes.

Now I'm sure you know that even with a full auto car with modern launch control there is an element of skill and setup to the car, the right conditions etc, but this is the exact setup we are using and a few customers have been to achieve a 9s 1/4 mile.

What we're showing is on 99 RON fuel, but fear not Americans as our customer (M3_James on IG) has proven it's possible on 93 octane too!

You mentioned this working on 93 octane, is there any luck for those in states that only have 91?

Maybe with some octane booster 😅 93 octane took a little work and quite an experienced driver and setup, fairly sure 91 octane will be a low 10s.

Impressive, we have 94 octane up here in canada so like 98.5 ron, could probably duplicate those results. We also have less bugs to clog up the intake

Are catless downpipes a must for stage 2 to work properly or can the factory main cats remain withe removal of all other mid-resonation? US based customer so no OPF.

There is only one place in Canada that sells 94 gasoline I am aware of. Chevron in BC and AB. The rest is watered down fuel at stations like suncor aka petro can or huskey. they achieve 94 by adding ethanol to 91 gasoline. Unless the calibration can manage the varying up to 10% ethanol per fill...might be difficult. Sask might take the record for airborn bugs.

DAM! extremely disappointed that Evolve has fully sold out and are getting their downpipes from China like everyone else :-/ especially at 300% markup from what they cost from their supplier : mertop racing.

it leads me to believe that their other stuff is made elsewhere (although good quality). call me old fashioned but i'd rather pay for stuff made in the UK for the price I pay. May explain why their carbon epoxy starts to yellow after some time and destroys the looks of the system you just purchased.

In Ontario Petrocan sells 94, Shell has 93 octane at certain stations as well.

Lol nope. As I said petrocan aka suncors 94 is achieved by adding ethanol. Its NOT 94 pure gasoline. It says right at the pump on a sticker they add ethanol. unless the tune can manage the 8 to 10% ethanol which it wont .otherwise. not only do you not achieve optimum power, you lose mileage. The only place that sells 94 gasoline (unmolested) in canada is chevon in BC and AB. Much better to choose the shell 93 than petrocan 94.

You can also reference the petrocan site on the statement of UPTO 10% ethanol on all fuels including ultra 94.

A lot of work goes in to making a car reliably fast, we spent months fine tuning our Stage 2+ package to achieve some really impressive results. Our Stage 3 package is just in its infancy, but there’s much more to come.

1000+ hp G80 that does 100-200 in 5.01 seconds just doesn't add up. Either it's not doing 1000+ hp or the car doesn't run well.
For 100-200 surface doesn't matter. Ambient can make maybe .2s in 100-200 but not 1s :-)

If it made 1025 hp on dyno it should do low 4's 100-200 not low 5's. Sure I can understand you need to test things but 4s 100-200 or 5s 100-200... who are you kidding :-)

Sorry you’re right…I missed where you pointed out the ethanol content. I was just referring to the octane rating. Shell used to have 91 with no ethanol added but even that’s gone now which sucks.

I'm very interested in stage 2. I wonder what the total out of pocket sending out ECU and BM license etc.
