Front Reflectors

Hey
Anyone know if the reflectors on the G42 are the same as the ones on the G20?

I'm trying to source some smoked reflectors, rather than painted ones. Wanting to tone down the orange on a Thundernight car, but I want to maintain the reflector-y-ness.

I came across these on ebay, and thinking these would work (and I probably wouldn't even wire them up).

Why not get some tint film and wrap them

Yeah, I considered that, but I'd need to buy an entire roll, and then just not use the remainder, which would be stupid. And it'd probably cost around the same. And, a tint over the orange might look a terrible orangy-grey!

It's how I started when I got ppf and tint done. The used extra for reflectors

Looked great. Still had depth and reflection ish to the. But looked pretty much blacked out

I switched to ind painted after a1.5 years because edges started chipping and showing from washing and use

Just saw this thread here on Bimmerpost about a parts catalogue, so I thought I'd see if I could find the side markers/reflectors, and see if the G20's are in fact the same as the G42's...

Looks like they are, so I guess I'll take a punt at eBay after all!

Ind makes the color matched ones. I put some on my bg over the weekend they look a ton better. I used to tint them and actually bought some tint pre cuts from bimmer vinyl to check out first and trust me looks way better color matched.

First, they ARE LED, if you can figure how to wire them up. I didn't want them lighting up, however, so I just cut off the cables.

Honestly, I don't know if they are as reflective as the originals, but I just wanted some that are reflectors.

I remember seeing some people who couldn't figure out how to install them ....
