Could be M4 LCI as well...but yes, a M4 CS is indeed coming as far as I heard.

Really? I'd be surprised since we've heard no mention of that yet. Also, I'm pretty sure that German law requires hybrids to carry the "Hybrid Test Vehicle" stickers on it.

I wouldn't guess LCI would be classified as "prototype" plus it has the current style headlights.

Under the camo, the front end looks just like the CSL.

I mean, you're not wrong with the satement regarding prototype status. But an LCI....why test that separately? And why would it have CSL nose on it?

Initially I assumed the lap time graphic was in descending order such that the M Prototype was the fastest. I don't think that is the case and agree it is likely the M4 CS which I expect to be close to the M3 CS, maybe a second or two faster. The CSL looks to be a touch over 2 seconds faster than their press release time (7:18.14 vs. 7:20.21 full). Puts the BTG time at about 7:13.5 - fun stuff.

The trees are all completely bare. I'm not sure when the 'Ring opens in the spring for industry rentals, but I'm guessing it was at the very start of the season for this year. Someone with more knowledge can probably hone in on that guess.

It’s got the rear section of the exhaust at least, doubt they’d leave that on for camo purposes. I’d wager not a full-on BEV. Maybe that insider guy knows.

That was my initial reaction too but now not convinced the order is descending by lap time.
