I’m in UT but the dealers here were trying to charge 5-10 over MSRP. So had to go to out of state dealer.

What’s your guys timelines looking like (deposit down to where you are now)? Someone give me false hope and tell me I’ll get my allocation in 2 weeks or less

Not sure about 2 weeks, but I got one in Austin in 6, and I was 4th on their list. Allocations just came out, so it'll be a month before the next batch.

I'm still deciding. I'm going Individual color - Java Green II metallic, Fire Orange or Verde Mantis. M4 Comp XD.

Tough call as I like them all.

I think either Fiona or Kalyami full interior.

I'm meeting with my CA tomorrow to finalize. I'm on the fence about CF package.

You can PM Day Laborer and can commission them to find an allocation available right now as opposed to waiting. September allocations are already out so if your dealer you worked with doesn't have one, you're waiting until at least an October production week.

I had some local dealers tell me 1.5 years and some 6-8 months. It really just depends on how large of dealership they as that will determine how many allocations they may receive. For me, the dealer I originally went with told me 6-8 months when I put my deposit down in early April. I got my allocation in July and should have my car by September.

Ask around. I went from interested to allocation in 3 weeks. In that time first dealer told me 1 year waitlist to get allocation and that everyone has same situation. Then I found 3 other local dealers who put me first on their waitlists and I actually got an allocation from a dealer where I was number 2 on the list.

That fire orange is incredible over either interior color. For me fire orange would for sure be my exterior color. IMO carbon package isn't worth it since I can get all the parts for cheaper than the package and I like doing small installs on my cars like that.

I've got m3 xComp Isle of Man over the Yas marina interior and I'm stoked! Let me know what you end up going with!

Getting an allocation isn’t a luck thing. It’s a dealer honesty thing… Most high volume BMW dealerships get allocations assigned to them monthly. If you’re the only one on the waitlist then you should be called within a month. You should ask the dealer what day last month they were assigned their allocation(s) and expect the next batch around the same day the following month.

Since you’re “next in line”, and if you’ve been told you can have MSRP (minus the BMW loyalty discount on your current F8x) then keep moving forward with your current purchase plan.

If you feel like this dealer is stringing you along you can always reach out to DayLaborer who brokers allocations. I used him and had my car in 75 days.
