Hello,

I wanted to provide some feedback on picking up my M3 CS. I had to make a decision to purchase last week and I had a hard time finding feedback from folks who have actually taken delivery.

My decision was trading in a 2021 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 on it, which is a car I really enjoy, and I was quite hesitant.

Bottom line... No regrets. This car is amazing to drive; little road noise, has tremendous feel, not harsh at all, and is a freaking monster. I had a 2018 Carrera 4 GTS and it pulls way harder than that at 3/4 throttle. Also the CS handles unbelievably, I have found myself shocked at the speeds into corners.

For comparison, I also had a 2022 BMW M4 Xdrive coupe and I never felt like it was a $90k car. It just didn't feel special to me. Don't get me wrong a very nice car but..... The M3 CS feels unique and special.

My only complaint. The unattractive front carbon fiber lip/spoiler. It makes the car way too low and more than likely will get damaged. I don't think it will take a speed bump and is at least an inch lower than my 911. To me it's pointless and unattractive and cuts back the usability of driving this car more. I am exploring how to take it off, if you can, and its not held on my adhesive.

I hope this helps some out there trying to make a decision. BTW mine is black with gold wheels, my preferred combo.

All the best!

Congratulations!!! Looks amazing!! Thanks for the feedback. Since you had a m4, how would you compare the both? Is it a big difference?

I was surprised how different it felt to the M4. Felt much more substantial and much more powerful. I was quite surprised. It really felt like a different car all together.

There were some concerns that this transmission might be jerky like the CSL. Not sure you’ve had a chance to drive the CSL to compare, but have you felt any jerkiness to the shifts?
ScullyD Anything to add for OP to compare to?

Back seat is normal M3 maybe a little less with the carbon front backs. The transmission I felt absolutely no jerkiness, it is dialed in. Not quite a Porsche PDK but it is very very good.

Thank you for the review and congratulations!
The CS does look to be a bit lower than a regular G80/G82.

Good color choice! CS engine has way more power than the comp, not just 40hp diffence.

And I agree the spoiler is pointless and stupid.

Any dyno/facts that confirm this?
