Good tint deal?
I got a quote for my E92, using pinnacle 35% all sides except front and sunroof, for 323.09(w/ tax + discount ). And since most of you agreed that tinting a 40k+ car by yourself is a bad idea, I decided to go with professional.
Is this a good deal? EDIT* This is in Hawaii, so mostly everything is a little MORE expensive. (Except fish)

F1 Pinnacle?
I paid more for Huper Optik Ceramic 30, not that many certified Huper Installer in LA. Do it

I think I got my tint done (it was a while ago) for about $290 but that was with a $100 discount that they literally threw at me within the first minute of me complaining about the high cost...
Anyway, the deal that you have going on just might be pretty good if Hawaii's prices are generally a bit higher... I vote go for it. |

Huper Optik (ceramic) is really good only if you're going to keep your car for 10+ years. Ceramic are a lot thicker and don't fade over time. Out here in Hawaii Huper Optik go for about $350+ at a discounted price. But yeah really good film I must say. |

Are you sensitive to heat or something? Just get the classic series. Same stuff

Whatever you get just make sure they stand behind their work. I would definitely go for f1 pinnacle since its one of the darkest 35% you can get. I know shops in hawaii like Revolution MS wont tint darker than 35% on cars, only suv rear windows, so if youre going for the darkest you can, then the pinnacle is a good choice. Also, thats not even that bad of a price. I got quoted 380 up here in the bay, now thats crazy.

I regret tinting my windows at all. It looks okay, but visibility sucks at night. Don't let anybody tell you differently because they'll be FOS. If it's dark outside, and you shade the windows, it's going to be even harder to see, plain and simple.

35% shouldn't be that big of a deal right? But I do know what you mean. My girlfriend's rav4 has the rear tinted 5% and it is super dark at night.

If you have to do it, 45% is a reasonable compromise. Anything else is too dark, IMO, for optimal driving conditions at night. I've never heard of 5% tint.
