Question How to temporary remove side netting in BMW X1 2023?

Hi guys.

I am trying to install rubber protection mat but I ran into a problem of removal that rear trunk side netting (see attachment pic).

I tried to carefully pull out those pins on the bottom but they aren't coming out. I didn't brute force tho.

Shall I use some prying tool to get them out?

How to remove it without destroying anything?

Check out the realoem site. Careful with all the annoying ads. Enter your car, and search around for the interior components. Find the part number for the part itself. The stick that into google and see what it looks like.

It's almost certain it has some plastic fins that spread out after it gets shoved into a hole. A pry tool that can evenly get under both sides near the center would be the right thing to use so that you don't bend or break the sides of it. A single trip out and back in usually would be OK, after a few times though it'll stop wanting to stay in.

Thank you so much!

That realoem looks like one of TecDoc catalogues. I liked it!

I was not able to find my model, it seems fairly new.

I thing you are right about the fact that the pin protrudes down and splits. I will try to pry it and see if I get any luck.

Pry tool worked out! Thank you!

We need to pry the pin on the sides. It looks like a screw and the hole is oval shaped.
