I would highly doubt it unless they beef up the clutch which they won't do. They want more buyers of the xdrive. This will entice those buyers even more now.

Is the 525 bump achieved just from boost increase/tune? Or are there internal engine changes?

Wonder if BMW would offer an aftermarket tuning for the software/tune updates like GM and Ford do with matching factory warranty.

BMW if your listening ...

Curious to see if these cars make more power or they are they are just reporting what's already there.

Wonder if steering feel or suspension tuning will adjust as well.

It would be something if they did offer a tune with warranty. Don't think it's a BMW thing though. They'd rather you spent that tune money on a new m3. 😉

You would hope they would. First thing someone's going to do is dyno the new car to see. Can't out smart the enthusiast? Lol.

Probably to make up for some added weight coming with the LCI so it's not slower than pre LCI.

Who knows with things going subscription and tech fees.

It would be an easy net profit to sell it for 2500 bucks plus toss in 186mph top speed and a M day. Especially if it is true power and better suspesnsion, tranny, diff and 8 speed tuning.

Easy profit.

The question remains will the "15" hp make a difference and is it just telling a better lie these cars make 525 when in reality it's still more.

Even at that some of the tuning if like the F80 ...folks were able to do it after the fact with lines of code.
