Audi gotta go back to the drawing board after this. These cars aren’t even in the same class. The M5 Touring should be matched against the RS6 which wouldn’t be close at all.

RS6 has 90 more HP

Tie expected. Not surprised.

10hp = 100 lbs = .1 seconds in 1/4 (generally 10-13 second cars this is very accurate, all else equal)

Hah I agree but it’s been slaughtered by everything “in its class” for a while. I think performance wise compared to its peers they keep releasing disappointments.

I’m not sure I follow some of comments on here that read like the M3 was doing a decent job keeping up or this was an even match or tie. Are we watching the same video? Audi decisively lost here. Also.. this is in wet weather.. I guess we could just say UK weather 😂.. and it still got beat across the board. The Quattro system has historically been superior and maybe it still is because the RS6 is heavier.. but damn. If the M3 touring is close at all in terms of spaciousness / cargo — it’s a tougher sell to pick the Audi.

Was thinking the same. Will need to be 2-4 tenths faster in the quarter. Should be well over 700 to overcome growth and the additional hybrid weight.

The Avant wins in looks though imho. Not because the G81 doesn’t look fantastic (despite all odds it does), but the Avant has so much curb appeal and presence. It’s stunning in person. Almost enough to sway me from getting another F90, but once I heard the G99 is supposed to come here, I figured I’d wait for that.

i thought the Quattro mechanical 4WD would get off the line better in this weather vs the X-Drive multiplate computer black magic but i was wrong.

never would I imagine the result but he drag raced the M340i vs RS4 and they were the same neck and neck but in that one the RS4 took it.

so maybe i shouldn't be surprised

but i'm still lost for words

Quattro system has always been over rated , but I always read that Quattro is the best
I had a bunch of German cars from Audi, BMW and MB over the past 15 years
our area get snow and is hilly , so from a day a day winter driving
I will say
BMW x drive was the best
MB AWD was second best
Audi Quattro was third
and that including different platforms and including similar tires
