My M4 CSL and M3 Touring together
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com The aim was to have all 3 coloured CSL’s together but we couldn’t find a black one. As I’m building my own M3 Touring CSL to match my M4 CSL we used that instead…. Next to fit my genuine CSL wheels.

Very cool! To what extent are you going with the Touring build? Will you remove 100kg and upgrade all of the OEM part differences (hood, suspensions, subframe/motor/trans mounts, swaybars, strut brace, exhaust, interior, etc?) Will you retain pass-through to the boot or add the CSL rear wall? Sure will be interesting to follow!

The M3 touring has its own dampers / springs so fitting CSL items won’t work. I’ve already done the following: - Grill, didn’t want CSL as it’s has ACC - CSL lip - lowered / spacers - OPF back Remus exhaust - Yellow DRL’s - CSL wheels (not in these pictures) Parts due for delivery: - CSL bonnet - CSL Steering wheel - CSL engine brace

Thank you for sharing such beautiful pics. So far all the reviews I’ve read for the touring have been stellar. What’s your thoughts.

Hows the Remus OPF back for you ?, really considering this when ive had the RIS done. Not sure i want to go OPF delete route, so this set up is favourite atm. Apart from volume increase, do you get any more wuffles and pops, bad description i know , thanks Buddy. |

OPF back give you no EML or need for can bus emulator / OPF emulator. Also depending on the year of the vehicle it’s depends on what you need Emulator wise. I would say the OPF back gives you more burbles. You will only get cracks etc if you remove OPF. Below is a video installing OPF back on my Touring with R44 who we collaborated with on my Touring Project. Got some sound clips on there. https://youtu.be/JyM68jL4ybI

Go OPF back personally I think that’s the sweet spot. You can add from there!

Very interesting and thanks for the video, Dale. Predictable question, perhaps, but what's the status on this kind of mod for UK MOTs, in practice? Presumably you can delete the OPF and still get the car past the standard emissions compliance, if you're retaining the cats? Some will of course say it's illegal to remove OPFs (but then it's also 'illegal' to make a car louder than it was OEM). I only ask as I know from my local MOT afficionado that the presence/operation of OPFs isn't necessarily part of the inspection (rather it's the meeting of overall emissions thresholds that they're checking). Thanks for any gen on this score, in terms of how your customers have navigated this.

Beautiful set of cars, gentlemen, against a beautiful back drop!
RHD M cars make me weak in the knees. And finally, loving the sequential number plates DAL33S!
