R44 is back again with yet another G81 M3 Touring build!

With these cars being so new, it’s great to see so many owners building the car to its full potential. We’ve partnered with our good friend Dale ( @DAL33S ) at the Autoworks to transform his newly delivered G81 finished in Alpine White.

First things first, we sorted out the car’s stance. Just like the G80, the Touring’s ride height - especially at the front- sits far too high. We installed a set of MSS height-adjustable lowering springs.
Let's just take a moment to talk about why these springs are one of the BEST suspension systems for the G8X platform. Firstly, they are fully adjustable, lowering roughly 0-30mm. This means you can tailor them to your personal preference, wheel/tyre setup etc. They also retain the factory electronic dampers allowing you to switch between comfort & sport suspension settings. You get the adjustability of a coilover with the simplicity of a lowering spring. Well done MSS!

We also installed some classic Bimecc spacers to get the stock wheels sitting nice & flush with the arches. The spacer setup we went for was 12mm at the front & 15mm at the rear which really finished off the car’s stance.

Couple updated pictures on my G81 M3 Touring!

Vehicle got delivered just over week and half ago and went straight to Autoworks Services who collaborated with R44 Performance to modify the first UK M3 Touring…. Vehicle has since been for full PPF.

There is a YouTube series running in this from R44 and episode 1 has been released.

Vehicle is currently on development MSS HAS kit and once a few 100 miles cover final height adjustments will be carried out. This is a different kit to stock G8x!

Few updated pictures!

I’ve raised the rear and the front has settled more, I will be raising the rear another 5mm to get the correct rake.

It’s great to be working with MSS again on another development project. The G81 development kit is using different spring rates to stock g8x MSS kits.

Really impressives with the comfort and handling improvements as always with an MSS equipped vehicle.

Really love this build mate! Saw your CSL with this beast together and boy do they look good together.

In this video we get the M3 Touring sounding how it deserves to with a Remus OPF back system!

For those of you that have OPF cars this is a great option to make the most out of A quality after market exhaust system without having to remove your OPF filters.

It will give you a louder and more refined tone in comparison to the Axle back, back box option that Remus also have available. It also being the race system means it has smaller resonators to give you you a deeper, louder and more racey tone.
