Maybe you meant JD Power? I feel like that one was totally different from this.
But I don't think any of these are really accurate

I believe it was the same one as it indicates that it was “updated” today.

Congrats BMW, well deserved.

Queue the haters that think this praise is not deserved or say CR who doesn’t accept advertising money is rigged 😝

That's awesome. Take a peek at how low Benz has dropped.

Surprised to see MB so low, not surprised to see LR at the bottom... Tesla didn't do as badly as I thought either... kudos to BMW (including Mini) ... I have to say, I agree. Worked my way through a few other brands, and our BMW's have ranked at the top for us as well.

BMW is such an outlier among the German brands. Porsche below Hyundai on who makes better vehicles 🥲

It makes sense if you work for Mercedes. You read about how pretty and luxurious Mercedes are in the media but when you sit in one, what you thought was a 10/10, in reality, is only a 7/10.

These are not terrible cars by any means, but when it comes to Mercedes, the media only likes to talk about what you can see at first glance. Start looking at the details, it’s not always perfect.

Take that into consideration, I could see why Mercedes is that low.

Do you work at Mercedes/know someone who does? Not asking in a snarky way... just curious since you mentioned it.

I do and I worked at BMW and Audi so I am able to rationally criticize all 3 German brands which all have their own pros/cons.

With regards to this specific survey and what each brand is offering, the rankings make sense.

JD Power and Consumer Reports are different and the way they report things are different too. Which is why the big difference between the two results.

JD Power makes almost any little thing as a "problem". If you done anyone of their survey you would know what I mean.

Neither of these two are ideal anyway.

I 100% agree so it always comes back to telling people buy what you like and tolerate any issues that come with it. You can find almost anything (good/bad) for any car enough for you to still not make a decision. JD power and Consumer Reports is evidence of it.

Does BMW currently have the best overall product across comparable models? I can tell you all the ways why they do but doesn’t mean you couldn’t get a lemon.

I completely agree.
And contrary to haters' opinion, I'd say BMW has never been objectively this good in its history.

As someone who's always bought Japanese cars, I 100% agree. I think BMW has always made a great driver's car, but I felt the rest of the car was lacking (refinement, luxury, tech, reliability etc). Now we still have a driver's car but the rest of the car is just as good - which is why I finally made my jump to BMW with this latest generation.

Spot on assessment. We had a GL and ML a 7 or 8 years ago and boy did the interior quality disappoint. Then again it's what the wife wanted at the time. She's since converted to the right side.

Mercedes interiors have always been sub par in a haute sort of way… but the driving experience was classy, and the status symbol was there (“best or nothing”). Now they’ve retained that for GLS, maybe GLE, G wagon, new SL, EQS… but they’ve gone sporty for most of their coupe and sedan range … which is incongruous… now they’re axing most of those options to go up-market. Their poor quality in the electronics department combined with some overzealous product management has resulted in a hideous interior… so you have various length bars of melting soap plus a hideous and unmanageable set of tech… and a sporty vibe for clients that want luxury… it’s all quite confusing.

BMW has always punched above its weight and produced a solid range of offerings. I also agree about the Mercedes Benz assessments.

All cars are so much better than they were even 15 years ago. Huge improvements have been made.

I do agree that BMW is a reliable brand however. That has been my experience as well. If you treat it like a normal car and don’t thrash it, they run a long time.
Read the heading, it’s not just reliability it’s also road testing, and satisfaction.
Aside from the sports cars that Toyota makes, their cars drive like Weeners and Beans

I'm confused as to how Porsche comes in so low.

Maybe I've only ever looked at their models ranging above $80k+
Possibly anything underneath is badly disappointing.
