Lifespan of factory tires

I can already see some wear on the rear tires, so it got me thinking, with "normal" driving of this car, what is a realistic lifespan for the tires, more importantly the rear ones? I have had several RWD BMW's in the past, and I've seen around 15K miles, but I am curious of what others have either experienced, or what you expect to get out of the originals!? Cheers
