2023 X1 lease prices are crazy

What are you guys leasing for? I just got a price of $799/month for a 36 month lease 10k miles a year on a $46,800 MSRP X1. Zero down. No markup apparently. That’s NUTS. Usually $13/m per thousand of MSRP is on the high side but this works out to $17/m per thousand MSRP. For comparison, I was paying $530/month on the same lease terms for a $52,000 MSRP BMW Z4.

I’m sticker shocked on the lease price.

Interest rates on loans have shot up in the UK over the last 2 years. Maybe the situation in the US is similar?

2 years ago the APR from BMW Finance UK was 3.9%. It is 5.9% now.

Indeed. Interest rates are 4.4 to 5.5% now. Looks like the residual on the 2023 X1 is currently 56% for 36m 10k/miles yr. But I just find it crazy that a $47k car is $800/month. Does no one else?

Its a new car and BMW seem to be currently able to sell all they can supply out to the network. Looking at some of the UK prices for leases an X3 can be had for only a small amount more for a much higher priced car. If they can't shift them then yeah sure lower rates but if they can why would they it seems a really in demand model.

Crazy indeed.

Hold off on leasing a new car for now until things cool down.

It's more reasonable if the price you quote is in high tax state with tax included in quote.
