They seriously charge for the paint too?? It says included then under it says $4500 lol BMW is becoming a joke. At least thrown in the paint for a special edition of a car that you advertise in that launch color as well and are already charging $140k for. Not hating it's a good car but it shouldn't be called a csl. This is more of a cs imo.

I mean they charged for FDG on the M5 CS also, and it was $5k pre inflation.

I will say this, cause I have an FBG M4 CSL, the paint job looks great and it looks way cooler on the car than the frozen paints on the M5 CS. The CSL does look best in AW I think.

As to whether it is a true CSL, you make a valid point. But the e46 CSL wasn’t considered a classic in it’s own time, so maybe time will tell.

Great looking car. I want the bootlid. This also solidifies the fact that my CSL DRLs, look just as good as the OEM ones.

Lol I did say it was just an opinion. No need to get offended. Curb weight is just shy of 3700 doesn't seem very "lightweight". I get that it's 200 lbs lighter than a standard g82 m4 and that's fantastic but that car was already too bloated to start with. This car is still almost 100 heavier than my previous f82.

It also has at least 100 more HP and a lot more TQ. Comparing it to an F82 in any way is a joke.

I weighted my own CSL at 3560lbs wich is pretty close to a 911 GTS and even a bit lighter than a 911 Turbo.

Please stop it with the weight arguments, we ain't talking about AWD fully loaded dropped with spacers fmeto unlocked tuned to sub 10sec 1/4 mile G80X here.

If your the kind to appreciate what BMW did here you already know that it's weight is right there with some of the best driving cars ever made.

Comparing a car to it's direct predecessor is a joke? What else should we compare it to? I'm not talking about the power. I agree, it's definitely more powerful. Ask yourself why they had to give such a drastic power bump in the first place. The standard comp is roughly 300-400 lbs heavier than last gen depend on rwd vs xdrive.

Not trying to start any arguments here with anyone btw. I appreciate the OP for the pics and like I said earlier it's a good car and we'll just appreciate it for what it is.

tell u something didn't want a G80 then started to ❤️ the way it looks then... started to ❤️ autopilot every time would drive moms car so now need a G80 and has to have full drivers assist and carbon roof and auto nothing else matters ❤️ come here g80 😂

I'm not sure why we are arguing about cars getting heavier. The E92 m3 in 6 spd weighed about 3,600 pounds. The fact that this car is about the same weight 2 generations after with a ZF 8 speed is pretty remarkable. An E92 GTS weighed about 3,540 lbs.

The next M3/m4 will be 5000 lb EV most likely.

What weight would have everyone been happy with for the G82 CSL to be? 3500 lbs? 3400 lbs? What is the acceptable amount of weight you wanted removed to go "oh its truly a CSL!!!"

I agree, I think the CSL is about 400lbs too heavy. Not sure it is even possible to get there, but at 3,600lbs it still seems crazy heavy.

The only sports cars under 3,200 lbs now are the Mazda MX-5, The Toyota GR86, and any 4 cylinder Cayman and the 4 cylinder Toyota Supra.

Off the top of my head, the new lotus emira I believe is around 3200 as is the 992 Gt3. But correct, overall it's hard to find sports cars in that range. Cars are just getting more and more bloated every year unfortunately. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the g80 close to the dimensions of the e60 m5?

C8 Z06 is a two seater and it weighs 3700 lbs. All cars are heavy now.

Actually, I weighed both my G82 M4 Comp X-Drive and my F80 M3 CS. With a half tank, my G82 was 3891 lbs which is 230 lbs heavier than my F80 M3 CS. Although I neglected to note how much fuel I had in my F80, that’s still not as bad as I thought it would be.

LOL the car looks way worse in any color but black.

Every lighter paint job makes the car riced out with horrible red pinstriping, and that unfinished primer look.
