That's interesting as my CA added the hitch to my order the other day. I think it was SOP 11/20 or something.
Still waiting to find out more info on the Active Seats so i can get lumbar support though as he says it's still not listed on the order input. |

The trailer hitch, as well as active seats/lumbar support, is in the build submission screen at the dealer level in the central region, so I can only assume it's the same in WA state. For some reason, the hitch still isn't on bmwusa.com
Installing a hitch after the fact will likely be impossible through BMW. They've been very uninterested in adding an aftermarket hitch option for anything in the past few years. |

Hitch...
I can tell you what is NOT compatible- the UHaul DrawTite they have listed on their website as compatible with the 2023 X1. We ordered one and went in for our install last Friday and it was a no go. Holes didn't match up with the hitch at all.
Very interested to know who has a verified hitch option! By the way- The Uhaul installers we worked with were great and they charged us nothing for failed install... |

Anyone did buy a aftermarket trailer hitch yet? If so, can you please put some photo's and tell us which hitch you got?
I heard from Stealth this morning it will be 2-4 months for their hitch. |

Zachwithnh was the hitch they tried to install this one? https://www.draw-tite.com/product/76...-trailer-hitch
I noticed it comes up as matching the 2022 x1 in the product filters, but on that page itself it includes 2023 which was pretty confusing. |

yes, easy to install. Put Stealth hitch on 2023 x1 msport. all you can see is the chain attachments (like 1 inch if you stand far away). there is cutting of bumper involved.

Can you post some more photos of how visible this is when not looking under the car?
What are you planning to tow? The only thing I would like to tow would be my M2 to and from the track, but I don't think these can handle that amount of weight. Thoughts?

Towing the M2 is not possible. When I spoked with the people at Stealth Hitch before they released the X1 hitch, I was told that the maximum recommended towing weight was around 3000 pounds. I'm pretty sure that the M2 is way more than 3000 pounds? Edit: I just found out that the 2023 X1 is only 3750 pounds. The 2023 M2 is 3814 pound. How can the little M2 weigh more than the X1? It’s been the track car/weekend car for a few years now.
