On my current car, they left the protective wrapping on the dead pedal and side sill covers.

somehow that reminds me of this:

my friend sent this no so long ago... apparently in Asia, they love to use heavy, thick clear plastic to seal the original factory floor mats. (not unlike how some people use the same clear plastic to completely cover their new sofas and sit on it like that)

That must be slippery as hell when getting in with wet shoes lol. I personally prefer all weather mats with all the rain and sand I deal with here. I wonder if I can get the dealership to throw in a set of all weather mats for me.....

I wouldn't mind that trunk mat, might be a nice alternative to the all weather mats.

As for those floating center caps on those wheels, I have them on my 4 Series, and I'm not a fan. I've lost a couple on the freeway, they just flew off randomly. And you can't buy them individually from the dealer, so not the cheapest to replace. I wonder if the BMW anniversary roundels will fit on the X1 though, I kind of like them.

I agree. I typically wouldn't buy them, but they came with the car. The two that fell off I replaced with standard ones, so one side of the car the caps spin with the wheel, the other side they're stationary.

$77 for a set of 4... kind of expensive... but then again, that's only around $19 each. Perhaps there are people selling them individually on eBay or something?
