X1 ACC (US Spec)

As I played around with my X1, I noticed a Mode button on the cruise control side of the X1. It has no features to select. as going through the owners manual, they do have it listed what the mode button does which is ACC. I am hoping that once the program is up and running that we who bought early can download it even though when I asked BMW NA on twitter they said sorry no it won’t work like that.

So far it’s been a pleasure to drive. And the touch screen is actually easy to use with one touch of the screen and you are at where you want to be while driving.

That's the reason I haven't bought one yet. Still waiting for the CA to tell me if it's downloadable later.

So, the car comes with the appropriate ACC hardware but its not yet available for use from a software perspective? I'm confused caused I don't see any mention of the driving assistance pro package anywhere that you see on all other BMW models that give ACC.

ACC production is still TBD on US models. But the mode button is still there for cruise, and the owners manual is quite detailed about acc. I know EU spec X1 comes pre equipped with ACC but is not activate at this time until software is avail.

That odd. My ACC is fully enabled and works perfectly. The mode button changes between speed limiter, distance control and distance and steering control.

AFAIK, if a car has a square black box at the center of the front grill, it should be ready for ACC.

I've seen many 2023 X1 review YouTube videos recently showing it working, along with navigation with AR(only in Slovakia, Italy, Poland and possibly Germany)

I wonder if they're still trying to gain regulatory approval in certain markets? Or maybe still tweaking the software to make sure it recognizes markings and signs properly in each market.

Just got off the phone with bmw genus, ACC was added to the build reports as of 8 NOV. And once again they were unsure if predate of 8 Nov can buy it on connected store.

understatement of the decade!

many years ago, my aunt's husband, for whatever reason, ordered a
W140 short wheelbase S-class with a manual transmission.

for those of us in the US, that was unthinkable. Whenever we visited
them over there, we always looked at that car in amazement. it
wasn't like the big W140 was a cheap Opel family sedan or anything.

My friend has owned two e60 535i's in manual transmission, a pre-LCI and an LCI. He ordered them and both times when they came in, the sales person called him multiple times to confirm he wanted a manual lol. He still owns the LCI and he swears he's never selling it.

went to the BMW dealer yesterday... my mother placed a new order... nothing new in their ordering guide... they didn't even have the newly-available optional active seats with lumbar support in their ordering guide yet.(which appeared on BMWUSA website today)

The BMW build your own page no longer lists "Drive Recorder" in the things included in the Premium Pkg. Someone here posted a pic of the iDrive Connected Store where it showed you can subscribe to the Drive Recorder. Interested to see if this can be added without Premium Pkg.

Well when I ordered mine it had drive reorder still in as premium package and verified by BMW Genius yesterday. But I can’t do anything with connected store until I’m back state side as it doesn’t work where I am in a us spec. Also on my connected store via my bmw id shows it is an active subscription, just sucks can’t use it whre ei am.

Whenever I was building the car in the configurator, I don't ever recall seeing drive recorder listed under premium package on the website. I only saw it on the build sheet at the dealer. I doubt you'd be able to get it without premium package though, as far as I can tell you don't get the front camera without it.
