Disable ADS - 2023 M8 Coupe

ASD not ADS, where it pumps exhaust sound into speakers...sorry for the bad title. So I've seen hit or miss posts but not able to find the setting in my 2023 M8 Coupe to turn this off. I have installed an aftermarket sub using the Technic PnP adapter and getting heavy sound through the sub when driving.

Anyone able to help or give their info on how they fixed this? I'm not seeing a setting in General Settings for this.

Thanks in advance!

its not in the settings, you need to code it out via the obd2 plug...

r33_RGSport can advise on what to use but Im assuming bimmercode can:

For some reason I thought I had read that the m8 didn't do this? At least not the 2020 I have. I know from driving the 2019 850 it went way over the top with this though.

I did it via Bimmercode a few days ago and the ride is much more peaceful. Once again I thought that the engine sounded better than it actually does until I turned it off. Don't get me wrong, the engine sounds amazing, but not quite as good as the speakers in the car would lead you to believe.

I have disabled mine using bimmercode but didn't notice any difference… possibly it was not even producing the fake sound

I noticed a difference once it was off for sure. Cabin seems quieter now
