Nice video. Pretty much sums up my experience as well even if it’s the 23i engine

he brought something that I was wondering about....

the X1 is front-wheel-drive 99% of the time. it only directs power to the rear wheels as needed.... but what is the most amount of power that it can direct to the rear? 50%, 100%? if the front wheels are on ice/snow with almost no grip, will all of the power be sent to the rear wheels that are still on dry pavement?

Thanks!

What are the specs of the F48 X1? I would guess the U11 is the same in that regard.

I was reading the 2023 X1 owners manual(in PDF form from BMW's website). It said snow chains must only be installed on the front wheels, which I thought was amusing.

I had 4 studded snow tires on my former Mercedes E320 4Matic wagon. It worked very well on ice and packed snows, but got the techs at the Mercedes dealership very made in the winter.
