Arrow G81 M3 Touring Configurator now live!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
The G81 Touring Configurator is now live, for those interested to play around.

Here's the Link to the Swiss configurator. Pricing is minimally higher than the G80 xDrive, with most of the same options available.

Only shame is you can't get the panoramic roof from the G21.

I just built this (I'm in NC) and I'm actually really pissed off right now that I can't get this car. I will gladly pay extra to have the option of buying one. Hopefully bmw realizes this soon.

I wonder why they can't manage a CF roof option? That would be pretty slick on a wagon

In one video the M R&D chief said that it is quite difficult because of the stiffness of the car as the roof is much larger.
He said it is possible, but not just like that. They would need a lot of effort in re-engineering and making the car stiffer in the upper part to support a carbon roof.
But it would have raised the costs significantly and they decided to not go that way because the relatively small amount of cars they going to build.

I'm also guessing that "making the car stiffer in the upper part" would likely undermine whatever weight savings the CF roof would offer, so that makes sense.

Somehow, Sao Paulo yellow looks really cool on the G81.

It looks like your grandfather's BMW. Given the choice, I'd stick with my G82.

Wish this was available here but honestly I'd only buy it if it was a RWD manual.

Not sure of other potential buyer's opinion, but I'm only getting new cars w/ a manual or I'm buying an older car. And if I want an SUV or an auto, or something for utility to get from point A to point B, I'd just get a Mazda.

Minus a few garbage dealers, mostly in the NE, at least BMW doesn't act like a pretentious automobile company (I'm looking at you Porsche).

Can't believe the US isn't getting these. It's what people have been asking for over the last 20 years.

What???? Thanks for the laugh!! I needed that…a panoramic roof on a M…ROFL. More like where’s the manual?!?

Thanks for the post and link as I will definitely check it out, design a bunch of them and then drown in misery.
