iDrive Controller Touch back?

I checked my order status, and it seems the "iDrive controller classic" isn't listed there in the standard options anymore(or at least I thought it used to be). Could the little touch pad be back?

It might be. When I joined the waitlist a couple months ago, I had "06UX iDrive Controller non-touchpad" on my build sheet. But when I check inspect element and I don't see the 06UX option code anymore.

Not sure if you are referring to M3 or M4…But I received my ‘23 M3Cx this past Friday. I can confirm that iDrive 8 (only on ‘23 M3 only right now) has the touchpad function on the controller.

What about gesture control? I thought the 23 M3s don't have gesture control, but not sure if that was a feature to begin with or not. I know the prior years they had em... or at least I thought so.

Not sure if anyone can confirm.

I don’t believe my ‘23 m3 has gesture control. Which I am totally fine with….

My order has touchpad deleted....which I'm fine with, I have it disabled in my M440 anyway. Hated brushing it with my hand and it thinks I'm trying to do something.

Exactly. This is the reason I’m happy that idrive 8 in the M3 at least ditched it.

I believe it comes standard with the new iDrive 8. Someone who had gotten one of the first 2023 M3s had told me it had gesture control
