This is a great video. The M4 holds its own, against the Supra... For about 7 seconds. On a side note. Watch the 2023 M4 xDrive, pull an 11.0 @ 125.

Its crazy regarding that the M4 has about 700HP less than the supra, but because of AWD and modern technology this thing totally rocks.

I can't wait to get my M3 XDrive in a month, it must be a total blast to drive this thing and try out launch control after the drive-in period.

But I still love the sound of the old japanese cars like Supra and GTRs.
They are something different and they hit different.

But as I get older, I wanted something more modern and more comfortable to drive longer roadtrips.

Thats the first thing I was looking for when it crossed the line. That trap speed. Nuts. The way that it caught the M, was insane.

It's definitely the greatest car that I've ever owned. My 22 xDrive has 8,500 miles on it, and it's been a blast, the entire time.

I could have easily built an older car for the money that I have in my M4, but, I also like the newer tech, and a more modern car.

Wasn't there a passenger in the Supra during the B58 3-way? Seems he wanted to force a conspiracy theory...

If I could get a clean MKIV Supra for the same price as my M4 I would with no hesitation.

Fun video. Supra's trap speed is off the charts.

Major respect for the S58 paired with AWD. Certainly punches above its price class.

Haven't driven the IS500, but the new IS350s I've autocrossed have remarkably lazy handling. Slow unresponsive steering and transmission, top heavy chassis at the limits, ancient interior. I'd imagine it's the same story for the 500.

Literally the only selling point is the V8.

The white supra at the end is beautiful—what a fantastic piece of machinery.

I'm a bit curious in regards to the m240i vs m340i.

They said the m240i was xDrive but they didn't mention if the m340i was xDrive or not. Also the m340i weighed less the m240 yet, it was slower against the m240i.

So im assuming the m340i was rear-wheel drive.

I had the same question, originally, but I think I answered it, for myself, when I saw the m340i launch. It has to be, or it would be headlight to headlight with the M240i.

I wonder why they didn't use xDrive m340i.

Would've been a way more close-knit race between all 3 b58's

Cammisa needs to stop consuming fast food or stop wearing tight shirts. Can’t have both.

I found this. They would put xDrive in the description if it was. Impressive they're all 2023 models. It usually takes them a while to get a G8X in the new model year.

I've raced and dragged and rolled here at Big Willow since 2011. High elevation, high DA. the NA cars don't stand a chance against the turbo cars that can compensate for high DA conditions. The NA Lexus V8 will do way better at sea level.

And that 2JZ Supra was just ridiculous @ 150mph trap. No way was that close with the M3 despite crossing the "finish line" in close proximity. The Supra flew past the M3 like it was standing still. We used to do 1/3 mile rolls here and the Supra would have put bus lengths on the M3 but prob had a hard time slowing for the 90 degree Turn 1.

The numbers that they got for the lexus are actually pretty similar to what multiple other publications and reviewers have gotten at various locations, off by like 0.0-0.2 secs and with similar traps. That engine is just slow. I drove the lc500 while I still had the m850 and the difference was insane imo. I would compare the lexus v8 to the version of mercedes' NA 6.2 V8 in c63 from 2010 only not as fun or quite as fast.

Nice video...but they could have kept the old Supra out. The Blacking CT4-V would have been better competition.

Makes me want to take the Supra out for a drive.

M340I was RWD, the weight alone makes that clear.
