He jumps around in the vid. He goes from 23 KM on the clock to about 948 KM by the time he changes his clothes. He's talking about putting on another 52 KM before opening it up. Another cut and he's only 13 KM away from his goal...which is 1000 KM.

He's not really talking about a break in service from what I can tell. My German is a bit rusty though.

Not sure if requirements for the CSL are different than they are for the regular cars but he seems to be under the impression that once he hits 1000 KM (620 Miles) he's good to go.

Jup, you got that right. He is wrong though, as we all know. CSL has 2000km break in period like any other M car aswell.

That's how he treats all his performance cars.

1000km and then GO!

Larkspur Blue

The interior color reminds me of the Larkspur Blue paint on the '57 Chevy, or maybe even the Tropical Turquoise.

Car manufacturers nowadays are giving away their newest products for those YouTubers or so called journalists for long term uses and claim they buy the new cars…… just pure marketing.

Finally, reviews are coming in.
Really glad I chose Alpine white after seeing what it looks like close up. I did not deleted the stripes though…
Looking forward to more videos. Other YouTubers should follow up soon with theirs. Almost sure Shmee ordered one.

Because this guy, as much as he loves to talk about tech and engineering of cars, doesn't give a fuck about revving a cold engine or adhering to a break-in period. I watch his videos regularly enough to know that.

Break-in service is still at 2,000 km.

My god that thing is beautiful. Obviously there’s a performance gain, but there’s also a good amount of “cool for the sake of cool” and I love it. How good is that trunk. Just a very special thing overall. Congrats to those who secured one, I am quite a jealous boy over here

Be sure to never confuse a YouTuber with someone who can actually provide a proper review of a vehicle.

YouTubers are good for cute videos and regurgitating specs.

You are correct for some of them but I still value reviews from Carwow, the straight pipes and Harry's Garage among others) even though they can definitely be considered as YouTubers.
I also enjoy a little bit of humor in reviews…

Makes me sick that we lost an allocation to this social media networker instead of a real BMW purist like me.
