Gallery Galore! BMW Sommerfest 2022 at Donnington Park, UK

This weekend, the BMW Sommerfest (formally known as the National Festival) has been taking place at the Donnington Park Circuit (UK) which is a great location if you are a plane spotter like me since the runway is literally just over the field (East Midlands Airport) and also, there were several live races going on at the circuit itself which was brilliant to watch.

The event was organised by the BMW Car Club GB who did another fantastic job.

The estimate was over 700 cars in attendance at the event today (Sunday).

It was fantastic to meet so many like minded BMW enthusiasts and fellow Bimmerpost forum members at the event and to hear all the great stories (a couple captured below). Hello to you all once again!

Below are my photos from today.

This owner is on his third M car (second V10) and has been very lucky with rod bearing issues!

This E30 has a Corvette 5.7L engine it:

USA Imported M6 - the orange sticker thing on the window said New Jersey.

No, I do not know why it was left on.

Registration must have cost quite a bit!

This E38 spent most of it's time in New Zealand but is now back in the UK with its owner.

Lovely story here where the father sold this car in the mid-90's and the car went up to Scotland. Fast forward several years and the son is looking for an Alpina. And what comes up for sale? His father's Alpina from all those years ago!

Great assortment of pics! Thanks for sharing! I particularly loved the E9s. Also liked the Alpinas that we don’t have in the USA like the B4.
