ARRIVED: My G82 M4 xDrive in Chalk & Fiona Red -- AKA "Ghost"
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I am very pleased to report that my new Chalk and Fiona M4 Competition xDrive is home -- and she's a beauty. I'm calling her Ghost. I took delivery of the vehicle from the dealership July 7, 2022, about 6 months after placing my order. The car went straight to the very good folks over at New Image in Denver, CO, where it received a full PFF job, wheel treatment, and tint. I took the vehicle home on Friday the 15th. In short, the car is incredible and somehow exceeded my expectations. I am extremely happy with every choice I made in terms of the spec, and am particularly fond of the Chalk and Fiona combo. I also am very glad that I talked myself into the M Performance carbon pieces because I think they take the vehicle to the next level. In terms of performance, I am totally blown away. I've never experienced a vehicle that puts down power like my car. I am like a kid on Christmas each day when I get in for a drive. Special thanks to New Image for sharing the photos they captured at their shop. If anyone is in the Denver area, I cannot recommend their shop highly enough. They are artists and went above and beyond for me in more ways than I can list. I plan to have more professional photos of the car taken soon. When I do, I'll update this thread. I'll also use this thread to track any modifications I do. In addition to the IND-Distribution reflector deletes (which are perfectly paint matched -- thanks guys!), I have my eyes on a painted engine cover. We'll see what else I decide to do. |

Congrats! Beautiful ride and couldn't be happier for you! We'll have to get together once I get mine down the road. How long that road is hasn't been defined just yet.
Would you mind PM'ing me on the cost from New Image? Looking to get the same work done on mine, eventually. Looks like they did some excellent work. |

Yeah that's one colour I'd love to have over my FDG.
Congrats on a stunning spec, just wait till you really get into the driving experience, it's next level. Well done.

You still got shipping blocks? Or is that wheel gap normal for the comp? Looks a bit higher than others I've seen.

It is different. BG is noticeably darker and has a blue hue. Chalk is lighter, non-metallic, and has no blue hue. It almost has a warm beige look in certain light. Note that these photos were all taken in the late afternoon on a completely overcast day. One of the things I love about Chalk is how dynamic the color is. In direct sunlight, the car nearly looks white. Then you take it in a garage and it looks dark grey in the shadows. Even sitting in my driveway, one side of the car will look completely different from the other based on the direction of the light and shadows. |
